May through September, 2003 -- Ran a director's workshop for the Calumet Players.
At the International
Conference of Women, June 1993, sponsored by the Reorganized Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints (RLDS), I presented a workshop titled "Metaphors
of Peace." The workshop explanation reads: "'Metaphors of Peace'
focuses on exploring ways that symbols, relationships, and actions as metaphor
connect to various aspects of peace. The objective is to achieve an in-depth,
expanded understanding of peace by exploring a rather unusual view of our
world in terms of metaphor. Participants will view a video titled 'Quest for
Peace: Images in Snow,' discuss ideas about peace presented in the video,
break into small groups to create metaphors of peace either by drawing, speaking,
or role-playing, and then present their metaphors to the participants at-large."
